ZERT Coffee & ChaosHello everyone and welcome back to This Week in Guns, brought to you by Patriot Patch Company. This show offers commentary on the latest firearms industry news, information and buzz. I’m your host Matthew Larosiere and I’m here with my co-host Shawn Herrin.
As we’ve discussed before, the filibuster is one of the only things that might prevent new gun control. We talked about Manchin, but have you heard of senator Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona?
So we all know about Cody Wilson’s outfit, and the big buzz at GunFest surrounding their new Ghost Gunner is its ability to finish out AKM 80% receivers.
In Kansas, 18-year-olds can open carry, but if they don a jacket, suddenly it’s a big deal. So gun rights proponents in the dust bowl state are pushing a bill that would create a provisional permit for those 18 to 21 if they pass a background check and undergo training.
Fenix ammunition is a small shop manufacturing ammunition in Michigan. They post a sign on their front door informing people that those inside aren’t wearing masks. Someone taddled, and the state cited them. So Fenix’s founder vowed never to sell to law enforcement agencies ever again.
Citing his experience as the former VP of sales for Kimber America, where he served for 25 years until last year, Busse threw his weight in opposition of a bill currently under consideration in the Montana legislature, writing that the bill “if not a pro-gun bill. It is an anti-responsibility bill.” This caused kimber to publicly disavow this former VP.
We’ve thought about this a lot. With the ire against 80%ers, where exactly do they draw the line? It seems, according to a Brady tweet, likely the most absurd line possible: anything.
